You can request deletion of personal data held by Faira by contacting compliance@getfaira.com.

Please use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.

Your request should, where possible, include:

  • your full name;
  • the email address or telephone number associated with the relevant interaction;
  • the business you interacted with, if applicable;
  • the Faira-powered service you used;
  • the relevant platform, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook/Messenger or telephone;
  • an approximate date or date range of the interaction; and
  • any other information that will help us identify the relevant data.

You do not need to provide information that is not necessary to process your request.

Faira may provide integrations with:

  • WhatsApp Business Platform;
  • Instagram messaging / Instagram Direct;
  • Facebook Pages;
  • Facebook Messenger; and
  • other Meta APIs or technologies.

If you have interacted with a business through one of these channels and believe Faira has processed your personal data in connection with that interaction, you can request deletion by emailing compliance@getfaira.com with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request.

We will use the information you provide to identify the relevant data and determine the appropriate deletion process.

Where Faira processes Meta Platform Data on behalf of a business customer, we may need to coordinate the request with that business.

Where the business is the controller of your personal data, the business may also need to process your request.

Faira may process personal data relating to telephone communications, including:

  • telephone numbers;
  • call metadata;
  • call recordings, where enabled;
  • voice audio;
  • transcripts;
  • AI-generated summaries;
  • conversation metadata; and
  • information generated from the interaction.

You may request deletion of personal data associated with a Faira-powered call by contacting compliance@getfaira.com.

Please provide the telephone number used for the call and, if possible, the approximate date and time of the call.

Where the relevant call data is controlled by a Faira business customer, we may refer your request to that business or work with the business to fulfil it.

Where you interact with a Faira-powered AI assistant, your interaction may generate information including:

  • conversation content;
  • voice audio;
  • transcripts;
  • prompts;
  • AI-generated responses;
  • summaries;
  • classifications;
  • workflow information;
  • appointment information; and
  • technical metadata.

You may request deletion of personal data associated with an AI interaction by contacting compliance@getfaira.com.

Deletion of AI interaction data may not automatically result in deletion of information held independently by the business you interacted with or by third-party services used by that business.

When we receive a deletion request, we will:

Step 1. Identify the request

We will determine:

  • what information you are asking us to delete;
  • which Faira service is involved;
  • whether Faira is the controller or processor for the relevant data; and
  • which business or third-party service may be involved.

Step 2. Verify your identity where necessary

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify your identity and prevent unauthorised deletion of another person’s data.

We will seek to minimise the information required for verification.

Step 3. Identify relevant data

We may search relevant Faira systems for personal data associated with your request.

Depending on the service, this may include:

  • customer records;
  • conversations;
  • messages;
  • call recordings;
  • transcripts;
  • AI interaction records;
  • account information; and
  • relevant technical records.

Step 4. Delete or anonymise information

Where we are legally required to delete the information and no exception applies, we will delete or anonymise the relevant personal data.

Where immediate deletion is not technically possible, information may be placed beyond active use and securely deleted in accordance with our applicable retention and backup procedures.

Step 5. Coordinate with customers or processors

Where Faira processes personal data on behalf of a business customer, we may coordinate the deletion request with that business.

Where appropriate, we may also instruct relevant subprocessors to delete the applicable information in accordance with our contractual arrangements.

The right to deletion is not absolute.

We may retain some information where permitted or required by applicable law.

Examples may include information that is necessary to:

  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • prevent fraud or abuse;
  • maintain security;
  • comply with regulatory requirements;
  • maintain necessary business records; or
  • exercise or protect our legal rights.

Where we cannot fulfil all or part of a deletion request, we will explain the reason where required by applicable law.

If you interacted with Faira through a business, that business may independently hold copies of your personal data.

For example, the business may have:

  • your name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • customer record;
  • appointment information;
  • conversation history;
  • call recording;
  • CRM record; or
  • other information relating to your interaction.

Deleting information from Faira does not necessarily delete information held independently by that business.

If the business is the controller of your personal data, you may also need to submit your request directly to that business.

Faira will assist its business customers with data-subject requests where Faira acts as their processor, in accordance with the applicable agreement and applicable law.

Faira relies on third-party providers to provide parts of its services.

Depending on the service, these may include:

  • Meta;
  • WhatsApp;
  • Twilio;
  • Vapi;
  • Africa’s Talking;
  • OpenAI;
  • Amazon Web Services; and
  • other service providers.

Some providers may independently process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

A deletion request submitted to Faira does not necessarily delete information held independently by those providers where they act as independent controllers or otherwise have their own lawful basis for retaining information.

Where Faira is responsible for instructing a processor or subprocessor to delete information, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with our contractual arrangements.

Where Faira processes data obtained through a Meta integration, Faira supports requests for deletion of applicable personal data.

You can initiate a request by emailing compliance@getfaira.com with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request.

We may ask you to provide the relevant:

  • Meta platform;
  • username or account identifier;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • business or page you interacted with; or
  • approximate date of the interaction.

We use this information only as necessary to identify and process the relevant request.

You can also use compliance@getfaira.com to exercise applicable data protection rights, including requests for:

  • access to personal data;
  • correction of inaccurate information;
  • restriction of processing;
  • objection to processing;
  • data portability; or
  • withdrawal of consent where applicable.

Please identify the nature of your request clearly.

We will respond to valid data protection requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Under UK GDPR, organisations generally have one month to respond to a data subject access request or similar rights request, although this period may be extended by up to a further two months where the request is particularly complex or multiple requests have been made.

Where an extension applies, we will notify you as required by law.
